(ECSIUT)
is organized to promote interest in scholarly research, to foster accurate documentation,
and inspire genealogical, biographical, and historical research and heraldry surrounding
the Cherokee and all other Native America tribes, and individuals of Native American
descent in South Carolina. It also is organized to preserve, present, protect
and document Cherokee history, material culture, historic buildings and folkways
in South Carolina. As part of the goals and objective of this organization, the
ECSIUT is dedicated to promoting and creating an awareness of Cherokee and other
Native American's arts, history, culture and its contributions to the development
of America and South Carolina, particularly, among the general public.
The Eastern Cherokee, Southern Iroquois and United Tribes of South Carolina, Inc.
does these things by promoting the unique culture of Native Americans and Cherokees
through publications, exhibitions, symposiums, festivals, workshops, PowWows and
other activities.
Most importantly, the ECSIUT fosters a Spirit of unified voice among
the Native American communities in South Carolina and to imporove the quality
of life among persons of native American descent.

THE
GENESIUS GUILD
The
Genesius Guild is a non-profit theatre company dedicated to the creation of new
theatre. It provides a forum in which artists from all theatrical disciplines
can interact to create new plays, musicals and the cabaret experience through
on-going deveolpmental project series. The goal of our program is to engender
the next generation of ground-breaking theatre and artists.
