Will Moreau appears in Oklahoma! as "Fred" May 6-28, 2005

You just "Cain't Say No" to Town's final offering of the season, Oklahoma! Based on the play Green Grow the Lilacs by Lynn Riggs, the 1943 musical tells the story of fun, love and romance in the lives of families living in the Oklahoma territory at the turn of the 20th Century.   The play follows cowboys, Curly and Will, who are trying to win the hearts of the women they care about, but must first deal with the interference of an evil ranch hand and a roaming peddler.

In the lead roles of Laurey and Curly are Mary Katherine Lawson (last seen as Carrie Pipperidge riding on Town's Carousel) and Paul Kauffmann (Will Rogers Follies,Dirty Blonde, A Street Car Named Desire). Kevin Bush (Marcellus in Town's The Music Man, Trustus' Batboy: The Musical) takes the role of Will and does his very best to get the hand of the feisty Ado Annie, portrayed by Shannon Willis Scruggs (Always Patsy Cline, Kiss Me, Kate).   The cast also includes Scott Stepp (Jekyll & Hyde, The Wiz) as ranch hand Jud Fry, John Swindler (in his Town Theatre debut) as the peddling Ali Hakim, Kathy Hartzog (The Honky Tonk Angels, South Pacific) as Aunt Eller and Will Moreau (in Town's West Side Story, Workshops' Jesus Christ SuperStar, Dream Girls, La Cage aux Follies, Seusical) as Fred.  With musical highlights including "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," "People Will Say We're In Love" and "Many a New Day," Oklahoma! is sure to be more than OK!
